About Buried Roots

Buried Roots is a counseling center committed to increasing access to quality mental health care for adults in Northern Nevada. We provide low-cost, trauma-informed individual therapy for people experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the lasting impact of trauma.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that healing should not be a luxury. Whether you are uninsured, underinsured, or navigating high deductibles with commercial insurance, Buried Roots offers a path forward. For those without insurance or with limited coverage, we offer a reduced fee of $75 per session because we believe mental health support should be accessible, not out of reach.

At this time, we serve adults only, offering individual therapy. We do not provide psychiatry, medication management, or couples/child therapy. Our focused model allows us to deliver consistent, meaningful care tailored to the unique needs of each client.

We recognize that upcoming Medicaid cuts in Nevada are expected to displace thousands from the mental health services they rely on. In a state already facing a shortage of providers, these changes will hit our most vulnerable neighbors the hardest. Buried Roots was created in response to this moment—to ensure that adults losing Medicaid coverage do not also lose access to therapy.
